Shared Moments was a photo-sharing app built around life events — weddings, parties, and gatherings where people want to collect memories together, whether they are there in person or following from home.
What it did
Shared Photo Albums
Guests at an event could contribute photos directly to a shared album, building a collective memory from multiple perspectives rather than relying on one person’s camera.
Remote Participation
People who couldn’t attend in person could still follow along and send their own photos to the couple or host, staying part of the moment from anywhere in the world.
Event-Centered Design
Unlike general social media, Shared Moments was designed around a single occasion. The photos stayed together in one place, tied to the event, not scattered across individual feeds.
A note on availability
Shared Moments is no longer available for download. The app served its purpose for a time when event-based photo sharing was not yet a built-in feature of most social platforms. It has since been retired.
