Does it work without an internet connection?

Vienna’s public WC dataset is available offline. You do not need mobile data to find or browse those locations. Navigation hands off to your maps app, which has its own offline behaviour.

What is the Euro key?

The Euro key (Euroschlüssel) is a standardised key used across Europe that unlocks accessible facilities for people with disabilities. Some wheelchair-accessible toilets in Vienna require it for entry. The app flags these locations clearly so you are never caught off guard.

Where does the toilet data come from?

Vienna public WC details come from the City of Vienna’s Open Government Data portal (Stadt Wien, data.gv.at). ÖKLO composting toilets across Austria are a separate layer. The app is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Vienna.

ÖKLO composting toilets elsewhere in Austria are shown separately, so their locations should not be confused with the Vienna dataset. Check the details shown in the app before travelling to a facility.
